My boyfriend Ian and I were very much in love. A week before, he told me to check the mail to see if there were any bills. I got the mail and inside were tickets to Venice, Italy! My heart just soared. We flew to Venice and stayed in a lovely family owned hotel near St. Mark's Square. We were at the Square at night on Valentine's Day and he took me to a private quiet spot and began to sing to me. It was so magical that I felt I was in a fairytale. I couldn't imagine being in love like this - it felt so pure, so right. We felt so alive. I will never forget that Valentine's Day or the love I saw in his eyes and felt in my heart.
